In Year 7, 8 and 9 your child will study...

Pupils study a range of innovative computing units that are structured and assessed against the principles of the Government’s new framework for marking. Throughout the completion of their studies, pupils are exposed to the latest technologies that are introduced through our on-going curriculum review. 


In Year 10 and Year 11 your child will study…

British Computer Society ECDL qualification Key Stage 4.

ICT skills are essential for success in employment, in higher education and are one of the fundamental transferable skills required by employers.

BCS have created an ECDL qualification to meet the criteria set out by the Department for Education. Learners with improved computer skills enjoy an enriched educational experience and are better prepared for life, work and further learning.

OCR GCSE Computing Science.

This is a brand new qualification launched in school September 2016. GCSE Computing will count as a science option in the English Baccalaureate (EBacc).


Gives learners a real, in-depth understanding of how computer technology works.

Provides excellent preparation for higher study and employment in Computer Science and develops critical thinking, analysis and problem-solving skills.
