Parkside Community School
In order to learn from home, your child must access Satchel:One (Show My Homework) by clicking the linked image below. If your child does not know their Satchel:One login, please use our IT Help Form to request a password reset.
It is really important to continue to engage with your learning during any period of school closure. The information below explains how we want you to continue learning from home. We strongly encourage parents and carers to talk through the information below with students so that you can work together to get your learning from home right.
Distance Learning Support Guide
We've put together a support guide covering all the basics of how to access and use Satchel:One, your school email, and Microsoft Office apps (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc)
Our Remote Learning Policy
We recognise the importance of maintaining high expectations in all areas of school life and ensuring that all pupils have access to the learning resources and support they need to succeed, especially when they are unable to attend school in person. Our Remote Learning Policy lays out the responsibilities of each of the members of our school community in relation to the provision of remote learning capability to our pupils and details the practical and operational matters associated with this provision.

- You will need to work from a device that can access the internet, in order to access Show My Homework (SMHW) and Microsoft teams. If you do have any IT issues, please contact the school immediately and we will support you to overcome these issues
- Use your SMHW personal log-in to access your work for the day.
- If you have downloaded the SMHW app onto your phone, click on the SMHW symbol to display your ‘To do list’
- If you are using SMHW on a laptop/PC, please click on your calendar to display the work which has been set for you.
