Parkside Christmas Market
We hope you enjoyed our enormously successful Christmas Market. Sincere thanks to everyone who supported the event - from those organising behind the scenes, to our wonderful stallholders, caterers and School Pastors, Santa Claus and his incredibly hardworking elf, Chesterfield FC's Chester the field mouse, the Ireland Colliery Brass Band, and especially to our fabulous pupils and staff who performed in the choir and street theatre pieces. Particular thanks to all of you who supported the event by coming along and enjoying it with us. We're already planning next year's event! Special mention must go to Mrs Wharton, who pulled everything together to make the event such a success.
Parkside Operation Christmas
Our thanks go to Mrs Hodson, Mrs Platts, Mrs Michell, Ms Miles, and all staff, governors, members of our wider school community and local organisations who have supported Operation Christmas this year by donating, packing and delivering. Through this great work, 43 children have received Christmas presents, 18 children chocolate hampers and 38 families food hampers to help over the Christmas break. We have also been privileged to have been able to donate gifts to children and families of William Rhodes Primary School.
These lovely gestures of goodwill are made possible by the generosity of those who make donations year upon year. This support is greatly appreciated and makes a real difference to families that often rely on acts of kindness to get by. The need has never been greater in our community this year. Special thanks also go to Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule to make an appearance!
